My must haves for Macro tracking!

Hi everyone! Oh man, what a year 2020 was! I hope you all are thriving, as much as you can! I defiantly want to write more on here and fill you in on what’s going on at home but first I wanted to dive in to a simple post I can make with all the essentials I use for cooking and macro tracking at home. If you follow the links below, that would be so appreciated, I’m so grateful for your support!

  1. A food scale! This might seem so 1980’s of us, but I’m telling you that measuring out 1 tbsp of peanut butter and weighing it, are two completely different measurements and when you’re trying to see some results - this is important! When I first started tracking macros I was amazed at actually how much MORE I could eat by using weight over a measuring cup. Weight is so much more accurate, especially when building a recipe. Below you’ll see mine that Ive used for over 8 years and still works fantastically!

  2. Ninja Foodie - This thing is a life saver! If your an insta pot and crock pot fan, this does everything AND air fries! It has saved me so many nights when I’ve been working late and need a quick dinner. I do my super simple crock pot salsa chicken in here with 2 cups of salsa and 4 chicken breasts.

3. Meal prep containers: Oh meal prep containers. I’ve tried them alllllll. Starting with plastic back like 11 years ago - EEEEEK. No, just no. I’m here to tell you, please use reusable glass containers and in my experience, don’t get the ones with the dividers. I want my veggies in large portions and train to not burn my hand on smoooooshing in steamed broccoli is a battle I never want to fight again.

4. Friendsssss listen up. Ok so. This might not be macro tools that necessarily “help” you reach your goal but if you’re like me and you like to sneak a little protein/collagen into your coffee, you need something to stir it AND something that will help prevent those coffee stains on your teeth - meet the stainless steel straw. They’re cheap, reusable and turtle friendly. SAVE THE TURTLES! Plus when you make a delish post dinner protein shake with all the works, it helps keep it cold!

5. Bone broth - I know you might not see this as a “tool” but my clients often have a very hard time getting in protein. Bone broth is amazing for your health, gut and protein macro count! It contains natural collagen, protein and minerals. I often Click here!drink 1-2 cups while working in order to get in some extra protein grams int he afternoon. You can also use this as a cooking broth!
